An authentic sound in Bezirhane: Nida Ateş

One of the genuine sounds of Turkish Folk Music meets his fans with an unforgettable concert in the unique acoustics of Bezirhane. Nida Ateş, who persues his work in Bursa for many years, hails his Cappadocia fans with his own compositions.

With inspiration from his troubadour father Sait Ateş, Nida Ateş has taken up bağlama (a traditional musical instrument with three double strings played with a plectrum) and singing folk songs in childhood. He has performed in meny national and international concerts and festivals so far. His first album Ömür Bahçesi (Garden of Life) was released under supervision of well known Turkish folk music artists Erkan Oğur and Okan Murat Öztürk in 2003. The same year, he contributed to two compilation albums, Asker Türküleri (Soldier Songs) and Mapusane Türküleri (Prison Songs) with one song for each.
