Runfire Cappadocia brings the concept of “desert marathon” to Turkey between July 7 th and 15th. The ultra marathon will be hosted in Cappadocia where nature is entangled with history and the accommodation sponsor will be argos in Cappadocia.

Following the first ultra marathon of Turkey, “Lycian Way Ultra Marathon”, a new route is added to the ultra marathons this year. “Runfire Cappadocia” will be held between July 7th and 15th 2012, under the organization of Argos Arts&Event, with the support of Republic Of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in the magnificently beautiful Cappadocia where nature is entangled with history, and each track will turn into a different adventure while giving the unbearable sensation of running in the desert heat.

Runfire Cappadocia will be completed in 6 days, with a lap on each day, totaling over 200 km, and the route will include Uchisar, Guvercinlik Valley, Ortahisar, Acigol, Damsa Lake, Yuksek Kilise, Guzelyurt, Urgup, Goreme, Avanos, Ihlara Valley and Tuz Lake. The route will sometimes reach 1700 meters of altitude while other times it will go down as far as 900 meters. The marathon will start off at Uchisar and it will have its finish line at Uchisar again.

The categories “Ultra Marathon, Discovery 6D, Discovery 4D and Corporate Races” that were developed within the concept in accordance with the needs of the participants, provide everyone the opportunity to enjoy being a part of a marathon and to experience an exciting atmosphere.
